Eolo

Back at Eolo lodge after 5 hrs we had lunch. Reto went for a swim.
Time to say goodbye to Eolo - we had a wonderful stay which we will
never forget! Thanks to Patrick for the great recommendation!

Eolo los tres cruzes

A great 360 degrees view from up here! Here the view on Lago
Argentina. The mountain is privately owned and beautiful to hike! Yet
another reason for staying at Eolo hotel!

Eolo los tres cruzes

The peak of the mountain is called tres cruzes because of the 3 small
wooden crosses at the peak

Eolo los tres cruzes

After breakfast we hiked 2.5h from Eolo hotel to the peak of their
house mountain. It's the day we are checking out, but we were able to
get a late checkout at 5pm

Eolo Advent

Many thanks for the great advent presents go to Denise, Maya, Kurt and
HR! Advent is a holiday we celebrate in Switzerland in December

Lago Roca Swiss family

The first camper van we saw on our trip! And guess what! It had a
Swiss number plate from Geneva! Unbelievable! We met this great family
who travels the world for 2 years and blogs on www.tourdumonde.contrast-image.ch

great scenic place with locals instead of tourists!

Bull

We took Route 15 south on gravel road, seeing a big bull :-)

Perito Moreno east

Perito Moreno glacier from the east. We decided to drive here by
rental car. If you do so prior to 9am, there are no other tourists.
You save time and money compared to the many touristy tours they offer.

Hertz El Calafate

Hertz El Calafate

Believe it or not, this is a Hertz rental car 2008 in El Calafate!
>

Hertz El Calafate

> Broken windshield, limitation to 200km, for $80 a day! About twice
> as expensive compared to renting in New York!

Hertz El Calafate

>

Eagle

The next morning on our way to the rental car station, an eagle was
watching us leave! Awesome!

Eolo hotel dinner

The dinner at Eolo is very delicious! Great variation of menu, all
